In recent times the NRL Champions Melbourne Storm ( Melbourne's quintessential team in the NRL) visited the home of Beach Tennis in South Melbourne, for a first hand experience of the great new game, a a cool down session after a big win. These burly Rugby players were pleasantly surprised and saw it as a great team building experience.

A few of the guys rated themselves against their worthy team mates, but were soon humbled by the differing movement of sand as opposed to the surface at Olympic Stadium, the previous evening against the Roosters.
